Emma Bailey

Although originally a Lancashire lass, I have lived in Swindon since 2015.

I live in West Swindon with my husband, daughter and a menagerie of animals.

I have 10 years’ worth of complex administration for a portfolio of high profile clients.

My previous role covered customer service, sourcing suppliers and contractors, dealing with multiple accounts and the balances and payments for each.

My reputation with my previous employer is someone who could take complicated and problematic accounts and iron them out to where they would run efficiently. This often involved difficult conversations, winning people over who had previous bad experiences and gaining their trust to ensure these were fixed.

I have fantastic relationships with my clients and look forward to showing JB Letting’s landlords who have trusted Julie over the years to have that same level of trust in myself.

I pride myself on a high level of organisation and record keeping and I am also a qualified APM project manager.

Previous to moving to Swindon I was an Office Manager at a very popular (and magical) tour in Watford, where for some years I also had a role as a tour guide.

This has left me with fantastic set of communication skills which allows me to build and maintain relationships. I’m a strong believer that effective communication can help resolve or avoid potential problems, and that clarity is key.

Julie, as my mother-in-law, will remain close at hand as a consultant to share her expertise as I take on the day to day operations. I have a keen interest in property management and relish the opportunity to put into practise my range of skills at JB Lettings.

Julie Bailey

Born and Swindon based all her life, she worked for a selection of Residential Lettings and Property Management companies, before setting up JB Lettings in 2011.

Previous to JB Lettings she owned and operated a successful franchised business in Swindon, growing the Portfolio from 25 to 300+ managed properties.

Having nearly 3 decades of experience in running residential lettings businesses, Julie has a great overview of Residential Lettings, which is why JB Lettings has gone from strength to strength under her care.

Julie will remain in a consultancy capacity whilst enjoying her retirement.

Her wealth of knowledge, attention to detail and dedication to her landlords, tenants and contractors will remain the steering force and company ethos as Emma takes on the management and ownership.

Residential Lettings can offer a great return and investment; however it is a long term investment, not a get rich quick scheme. If you are thinking of buying a property to let, if you have tenanted properties with another letting agent and want to transfer them to someone offering a better service at probably a lower management fee, then please contact us.

JB Lettings was created specifically for residential lettings, as opposed to larger companies where it can sometimes it as a second thought alongside their Estate Agency. Although the business is property based, lettings/property management is totally different from selling a house and requires completely different specialities such as long term management skills. Lettings requires long term business relationships with both landlords and tenants; you do not hand over keys and walk away.

We have a fantastic portfolio of trusted contractors that offer fair prices, and we do not add any uplifts or hidden fees to invoices for works done to our landlords or tenants.
