Alistair and Tina- Landlords returned to their home after 1.5 years of being let out Furnished.

We’re a “new to letting” husband/wife team who have been letting with Julie as our agent since we were introduced to her by a mutual friend just under a year ago. At this time were looking to invest in the property market to supplement income, but had been given what turned out to be some very bad advice by another letting agent. Talking to Julie at that time was like a breath of fresh air. She was friendly, obviously very experienced, knew the local market extremely well and was quite happy to give us clear and sound advice as a prospective landlord. She reviewed the details of the property in question with no commitment on our part and it’s no understatement to say that without her insight we would have missed an exceptional investment opportunity.

We’ve now let our third property through Julie and will soon be looking for the fourth. She knows what lets quickly, how to present them and has an experienced eye for market rates. She’s helped us decide what to buy and what work needs, and almost as important, doesn’t need to be done on them. By following her advice we’ve achieved all of our target rents and haven’t had a property on the market for more than a day!

Her tenant searches and checks are thorough and benefit from the “personal touch” of face-to-face contact. This and her regular property inspections go a long way to taking stress and worry out of letting, in fact for us it’s been an enjoyable experience. Her rates are also extremely competitive and I expect to continue working with Julie for many years to come and have absolutely no hesitation in recommending her to other landlords/potential landlords.

Julie's incredible adaptability both with potential prospects and existing tenants has let her excel in the job. Her uncanny ability to know what the client wants before they tell her makes customers feel comfortable with her. I never had to wait more was needed to have a problem solved or addressed by Julie in the most efficient and professional way: he was always available even with short notice to support, was it for minor issues or more substantial requests to the landlord. Her flexibility, punctuality and attention to details as long the rapidity of response to any necessity is really amazing: she never let me down and did manage to handle my requests in matter of minutes after they were made. Julie took over the management of a property I rented on behalf of the landlord. Prior to this I had no contact with the landlord, and the service was all but non-existent. The landlord recognised this and appointed Julie to manage his portfolio. Julie rapidly put in place a system that benefitted the landlord, the maintenance of the property and gave me a regular schedule of meetings and quick and efficient handling of any issues which arose.

I would happily recommend Julie either to landlords or to those looking to rent a property.

JB Lettings have been absolute dream to rent a property from. We have rented for many years and have been in our current property for 3 years now and are very sad to be moving on. The property was handed over to us in an immaculate condition on moving day. You could clearly see the love and effort that had gone into it to make it look like it was brand new just for us and was even re-decorated. Any maintenance or appliance issues have been rectified immediately after reporting them. Even the smallest of ones!

The team that carry out the maintenance for JB are trustworthy and friendly and if they can't solve the issue there and then, they make a conscience effort to go away and come back the same day with parts etc. As for Julie herself, she has been an absolute pleasure. There is no problem, big or small, that she hasn't rushed to get rectified and she has gone above and beyond to look after us and our property. She is just always there, whenever you need her! We really are gutted to be leaving JB Lettings. I'm not sure renting a property will ever be the same
